Once upon a time, on a BEAUTIFUL summer day…….WHAT?! Summer? Nope…. it’s not summer! It’s spring but let me tell you, Jared and Katie had the absolute most perfect weather for their May wedding on the beach! It was 100% PERFECTION! The sun was shining, it had a nice wind that kept you from melting in the sun and there were people swimming in the ocean! It really did feel like summer!
Her details for the day were laid out so nicely and easy for me to grab and go! I was so impressed with her organization skills! The bridesmaids and Katie also had the room she was getting ready in clean and decorated with a cute banner along the bed. Again, I was so impressed and just so excited to get started on their day! The last time I saw these two was just over a year ago for their engagement session! I was so excited to see them again! They are so much fun, and are both really good at modeling for me when I give them direction!
I loved Katie and her dad’s first look. She looked amazing and he made sure that she knew it. Her girlfriends were just in awe of how gorgeous she was, and they made her entire day such a celebration!! I absolutely LOVE that we got to have their fist look on the beach, where Katie wanted it, and since it was an absolute beautiful location.
However, my favorite part of the day was when Katie’s dad toasted the newlyweds at the beginning of their reception. He shared that when Katie was a baby, she took her first steps on the beach at The Sea Crest Beach Hotel, which gave this location and even bigger meaning! Oh the tears! So many tears! You can tell that Katie is a daddy’s girl and that her relationship with her parents is such a cherished part of her life.
