They stood in the garden. In the middle of the arch way. Beautiful flowing dress with sheer sleeve cover. Navy blue color suit. Big smiles and tear-filled eyes. Surrounded by a sea of the bride and groom’s family and friends, umbrellas all around. They walked together down the aisle holding hands, smiling at one another as the rain fell, kissing their skin.
The “call” to keep the ceremony outside was about one hour before start time. The garden area at the Dan’l Webster Inn is so beautiful, rain or shine, they decided that their ceremony was meant to be outside. Everyone embraced it. As the rain fell, and umbrellas and ponchos were present on their guests, Joe and Julie’s eyes never left each other. They stood in the rain expressing their love, sharing their vows and including their loved ones who were present in their hearts this day with a special stone tribute. It was a touching ceremony and for sure, one I will never forget!
As everyone dried off inside, the party got started and I have to say, the dance floor was PACKED! Julie and Joe talked to me during their engagement session about their guests and how they really wanted their day to represent fun. They were expecting to have many children at their wedding to celebrate and it was so nice to hear how excited they got when talking about all the kids who were coming! They set up an art station and there were many kids walking around and dancing wearing super hero capes. It was really creative and so nice of them to keep the kids in mind when planning their wedding! There was so much for them to do and the dancing was just the icing on the cake!!
…Speaking of cake…. I just love how elegant their wedding cake looked with the beautiful detail and hydrangea wedding flower on it. Not only was it beautiful, it was delicious!
Joe and Julie, Thank you so much for having us be apart of your special day! It was so nice to see how the rain didn’t get in the way of what you had planned and everything was so perfect! As I mentioned to you during your reception, the feel of this venue was 100% you guys. Full of beauty, nature and love. I remembered our conversations from your engagement session and loved seeing a little house preview just filled with what you love, and this day was just that. From what I’ve heard, rain on your wedding day is good luck because it signifies that your marriage will last. As you know, a knot that becomes wet is extremely hard to untie – therefore, when you “tie the knot” on a rainy day, your marriage is supposedly just as hard to unravel! Congratulations! xo.

I met Meggy and Andrew for their “Fall” Engagement session
at Scusset Beach in Sagamore, MA. It was early November BUT it was FREEZING! I had hand warmers for each of us incase we all needed it and I was bundled up in a jacket! These guys were so amazing for that session, and now I can say that they were also SO amazing for their wedding day!!!
The wedding day was perfect! A cool spring day where hand warmers were not needed! **Insert praising hand emoji here** Their ceremony was held at St. Bonaventure
in Plymouth, MA and it was absolutely beautiful. The light that came in through the windows made my heart skip a beat! It was amazing how bright inside was! I loved watching Andrew’s reaction the first time he saw Meggy walking down the aisle and seeing her face just light up to brightly! It was a beautiful moment and there wasn’t a dry eye in the room!
After their ceremony, we headed over to Whitehorse Beach
for their bridal party and family photos and then from there it was off to Plymouth Country Club for a night of dancing! I am not kidding when I saw the dance floor was PACKED! Their DJ – Meritage Entertainment
was awesome! He knew how to get the party started! I even busted some moves! haha! I love getting to interact with the family and bridal parties at every wedding! This crew was a dream crew and I had so much fun with them! They were up for anything and everyone was just so happy, the laughter was just pouring out of them all! They made my job so easy! I just love them!
Meggy and Andrew, Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your wedding day! I am so honored to have been there to witness such beautiful love you both share for each other as well as those around you on your wedding day! I had so much fun during your freezing engagement session that I knew this day was going to be a blast, and I was so right! Your smiles were contagious and I think most of the day, my cheeks were hurting from smiling so much!! It was so great getting to come back to “home” just shortly after we moved to NH and I am so thrilled that it was your wedding that brought me back to Plymouth this day! Congratulations and Best Wishes ALWAYS! Love you both!
Here are just a few of my favorite images!
The weather is FINALLY starting to look like spring and I am just so thrilled! It’s amazing what a little sun shine and fresh air can do for you!! On these beautiful days, I have been outside non stop with my kiddos and it just so happened that this past weekend had beautiful weather, I was able to be outside with my kids, then I met up with my Ali B Bride and Groom, Julie and Joe for their engagement session in Boston!
I have not been to Boston in a few months, so getting this perfect day to walk around with these amazing people was such a special treat for me! I loved getting to know the two of them and hearing all about their wedding planning and new house! ( Joe and Julie moved into their new home the same week we moved into ours!) They have such an exciting year ahead of them and I am so excited I am a part of it with them!
They were so great listening to my directions and were totally up for anything. I have to say Joe is THE BEST nuzzler and we renamed my nuzzle pose to ” be the cat!” he knew exactly what I wanted him to do and he perfected it each and every time!
Joe and Julie, thank you so much for such a fun night walking around Boston! I loved the locations you chose for your photos and I am so excited to see you both again all dressed up for your wedding day! Just about 1 month to go! Let the count down begin!! xo
I met Chris and Cait for their engagement session in Boston in September. Their lead photographer, Kelly Ryan Photo and video, at the time was traveling, so we worked together and I was set to capture their engagement session and work with her as a second shooter for the wedding day. I just LOVE this couple! We had a blast at their engagement session, I couldn’t wait to see them again for their wedding day!
The wedding was my last wedding of 2017 at the place where my 2017 weddings began, at The Chatham Bars Inn! I love this venue! They had a beautiful November day, it was chilly but oh so beautiful- they braved that chill for their bridal portraits on the beach, and although it was cold, it was worth it because their images are amazing!
Chris and Caitlyn, it was so nice to see you guys again and celebrate with you, your family and your friends! Everything was so beautiful! Congratulations to you both! I hope I get to see you again soon! xo.
Mike and Kelly are married!!! They celebrated their big day at The Pavilion at Pinehills in Plymouth, MA and I have to tell you, it is one of my top favorite venues I have photographed thus far! Why you ask?! Not only is is located in my home town Plymouth, but the grounds were beautiful surrounded by lots of trees, a pond and tall grass, leaving us with gorgeous photo locations when it came time for our portraits on their wedding day! Yes, there is golfing but you really didn’t take note of the golfing grounds since the woods and ponds were close by. Aside from the grounds, the staff at Pinehills were amazing! Everyone was so nice and willing to help when needed, we as photographers were in communication with the wedding planner throughout the day, and everything went so smoothly for our bride and groom!
I met Mike and Kelly a year ago for their engagement session at Brewster Garden! I loved getting to know them then, and I loved getting to see them for their big day! I counted down with them to their wedding day on Instagram and when the day arrived I was so excited to get to work! The details on their wedding day were beautiful with soft sage, golds and pinks. Kelly did a fantastic job matching her details and invites using both Etsy and Minted for inspiration. When I asked her about how she decided on the details, she said she purchased “EVERYTHING” through those sites!
Mike and Kelly, your Pinehill Pavilion wedding is one that I will never forget! As I mentioned above it is one of my favorite venues! It had it all, the looks, the staff, you guys and one awesome party! Your day could not have been a better reflection of the both of you and I am so honored you chose me to capture your wedding day as you made memories that will last a lifetime. I hope that when looking at these images, you love being able to look back on this day just as much as I loved being there with you.
