It’s the wedding we all have been waiting for!! No really, it is! Alyssa and Craig’s original wedding date was April 4, 2020. Just two weeks before their wedding day the country shut down and all events were cancelled. I remember listening to the news and thinking “oh no… I have a wedding!!! I am supposed to talk to the bride and groom about their timeline in a few days!!” Right away I received an email from Alyssa and we chatted on the phone shortly after. Was this really happening? HOW could this be happening right now? There were so many questions and devastation that the event that they had been planning for now needed to be moved.
The new date was June 25, 2020. Praying that things were changing and events in MA were allowed again this is what we were all planning on…. then things did not change… and new rules were being put in place…. so they changed the date.
THIRD TIMES A CHARM! Alyssa and Craig were married on a PERFECT September day! September 19, 2020 is their final date! While the rules were all still different than a year ago, they are married and it was such a happy day! The River Club did a wonderful job making sure everyone there was safe! They all wore masks and shields while working near the guests outside as well as inside preparing meals. Guests were also wearing masks while walking around the venue. It was so nice to see everyone having fun and being mindful of what is going on in the world. Alyssa and Craig provided hand sanitizer and masks made by the mother of the bride as their wedding favors which if you know me, you know I love practical favors and this one is on the list of favors I loved!
Alyssa and Craig, I know this was not the original plans you had in mind when you got engaged, but I have to say, you both were so amazing changing plans left and right and keeping me in the loop about it all. I can not imagine planning for “3” weddings and the stress that you guys had during this time. You are rockstars! Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer. I loved getting to know you and Stonewall at your engagement session and I am so thankful for all the communication the last 6 months. Thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. Danielle and I had the best time and it was so nice to meet your friends and family! Wishing you HEALTH and Happiness always! Here are some of my favorites from your wedding day! Have fun reliving this day. It really was perfect. xoxo.

Within a few minutes of walking up to a couple I can always tell we are truly a good fit. This is 100% true with Amy and Nick. They were relaxed and excited to start their session. When I say relaxed I mean they were ready to trust me as I educated them through out their session on the main poses they will do on their wedding day. They were up for anything and were really wanting to have many candid moments of the two of them together, which just so happens to be my favorite moments!
These guys traveled to Boston from NOLA during a pandemic to have their engagement photos taken in Boston. I noticed them as they were walking across the street to meet me at the Public Gardens. As I mentioned before, they were both so relaxed and looked so nice as their outfits coordinated so nicely! That first initial meeting its like a blind date- I always look for happy in love couples that are most likely going to get their photos taken and these two were exactly that. Happy and in love.
Amy and Nick are Umass Amherst Alumni and are now planning their wedding at the Saphire Estate in Sharon,MA Summer of 2021. While they were back visiting they got to see family and friends too which if you ask me, getting photos taken and getting to see loved ones sounds like a pretty perfect get away!
Amy and Nick, thank you so much for trusting me and listening to my crazy ideas of how to get to the locations you guys wanted before the sun came down. You were both amazing models and since you guys nailed it during our session, I have no doubt in my mind that you guys will nail it again on the wedding day! I hope you love these photos and can remember this time together visiting your family and friends and meeting me! The way you too look at one another is pure love and I am so happy for you both. Enjoy the next months of being engaged and I can not wait to see you again on your wedding day! xoxo.
Last week I woke up so excited to finally get to meet Leila and Chris! When I got downstairs to pour myself a cup of coffee, it seemed so dark in the house! I looked outside and sure enough it was dark! I checked the weather and as soon as I did, it started to downpour! I was so confused. I’ve been checking the weather for this day since it was in the 10 day forecast! So, I checked again. It said rain! I texted Leila and we both decided to keep the session as is, and continued to check the weather throughout the day. As it got closer to the time we planned to meet the weather was looking good. We met at Crane Beach in Ipswich, MA and could not believe how amazing it all was!
We had so many different kinds of lighting happening during our session together, it just made my heart so happy! These two not only looked like models but the location and different views of the ocean plus the amazing light we had, had me screeching with excitement though out our time together! These guys were up for a long walk on the beach to start in the perfect spot with not too many people. I loved getting to know them and hearing all the things they have planned so far for their Granite Links Wedding next August!
Chris proposed this past July 3rd on Cape Cod after taking a long walk on the beach. It was so sweet to hear them talk about the night they got engaged and the celebration with family they had that night! I am looking forward to meeting all of them! Just as they were telling me about their proposal, I noticed a rainbow in the sky behind them! I had them take a minute to look at how amazing it was! I could not believe it! It was just so beautiful and it 100% added on to how amazing the night was! As soon as our session ended and we got in the car, the skies opened up and there was a downpour! If you can’t already tell I am still in shock and so excited about this session and the light/weather we had! Just check out their photos and you can probably feel the excitement through them!
Leila and Chris, THANK YOU! You guys were so much fun and so awesome for walking far, getting your feet wet and mastering all the poses I taught you! I am so excited to see you guys again for your wedding day! Until then, enjoy these images together and good luck choosing one for your Save the Date! I had way too many favorites and I have a feeling you might too! xoxo
If you have followed me now for quite some time, I think it is safe to say that I LOVE LOVE LOVE photographing on the beach. It does not matter to me what beach it is, but gimme the ocean, salty air, amazing light and a gorgeous couple and my heart is happy! I met Marie and Matt at Duxbury Beach last week and my goodness we were all in for a treat! Duxbury beach is so pretty during sun set with lots of different areas to talk around so we had nice variety in location and lighting.
I just loved hanging with them and learning about who they are as a couple and all about their wedding day! They are getting married May 29, 2021 and I just know that their wedding day is going to be amazing just like how this session was! They had me laughing when they were telling me all about the proposal and they said that Matt was so nervous that he said ” I just can’t take it anymore” and he asked. I just imagined that moment and then she said yes and the rest is history! Here they are, two high school sweet hearts, planning their wedding day.
Marie and Matt, Thank you so much for such a fun night! I can not get over how the sky looked toward the end of our session and I am for real when I say you guys could be models! You 100% nailed it and you now have wayyyyy more than just 1 nice photo of the two of you together. I am so excited to see you again for your wedding day but until then, I will just continue to look at these amazing photos of your engagement. It was really hard to choose just a few favorites so get ready…. 🙂
Can I just tell you that when I saw Katelyn get out of the car, I was so excited to meet her and when I saw her beautiful dress, I said Girl! We match!! I was wearing a light pink shirt with stripes so I felt like we all matched for our session together so if we got separated, someone could have helped point us in the direction of the other one wearing pink stripes! haha.
Katelyn and Ben were so much fun! I just loved how much he made her laugh! They have the sweetest personalities and it’s evident how in love they are. Katelyn’s daughter Alexa joined us for this session and it was so amazing to see how much Ben loves her too! The way he looks at both of his girls made makes my heart smile! What an amazing story they have and an amazing little girl who will be in their wedding standing next to them as they exchange their vows.
Katelyn, Ben and Alexa, Thanks for hanging out with me on the most perfect August night! The location you picked is one of my favorites and I am so thankful for you guys getting in the quick sandy waters for an epic family photo! I hope you love your photos and I can not wait to see you for your wedding day!
