Oh this beautiful wedding day!! What a light blue and beach lovers dream! ( I am talking about me… I am the light blue and beach lover)! I met Jenny and Steve just about a year ago as we got together for their engagement session back at their school campus. You can see those photos here. She has a smile that is 100% contagious and one that when you see a photo of her, you will never forget it! She beams with so much joy and love that it is no wonder that everyone just smiles as she enters a room!
Jenny and Steve planned their original wedding for December 5, 2020 but the year brought them other plans. They decided to move their original wedding date to December 4, 2021 and have a small elopement ceremony on September 26, 2020. This minimony was held at Jenny’s Nana’s house located right on the beach. Their ceremony was on the front lawn that over looked the ocean. It was absolutely perfect. They had the most amazing September weather and who does not love being near the ocean water?! I want to go back and visit Nana and enjoy the view again soon! 🙂
Jenny and Steve, THANK YOU so much for trusting me to capture this day! I am so excited to share these photos with you and I am looking forward to all the wintery goodness I get to capture in 2021. Enjoy reliving your first wedding day together as you decorate your new home! What an amazing month for you guys! New home. A Wedding! Congratulations!! I love you guys! xoxo
It’s the wedding we all have been waiting for!! No really, it is! Alyssa and Craig’s original wedding date was April 4, 2020. Just two weeks before their wedding day the country shut down and all events were cancelled. I remember listening to the news and thinking “oh no… I have a wedding!!! I am supposed to talk to the bride and groom about their timeline in a few days!!” Right away I received an email from Alyssa and we chatted on the phone shortly after. Was this really happening? HOW could this be happening right now? There were so many questions and devastation that the event that they had been planning for now needed to be moved.
The new date was June 25, 2020. Praying that things were changing and events in MA were allowed again this is what we were all planning on…. then things did not change… and new rules were being put in place…. so they changed the date.
THIRD TIMES A CHARM! Alyssa and Craig were married on a PERFECT September day! September 19, 2020 is their final date! While the rules were all still different than a year ago, they are married and it was such a happy day! The River Club did a wonderful job making sure everyone there was safe! They all wore masks and shields while working near the guests outside as well as inside preparing meals. Guests were also wearing masks while walking around the venue. It was so nice to see everyone having fun and being mindful of what is going on in the world. Alyssa and Craig provided hand sanitizer and masks made by the mother of the bride as their wedding favors which if you know me, you know I love practical favors and this one is on the list of favors I loved!
Alyssa and Craig, I know this was not the original plans you had in mind when you got engaged, but I have to say, you both were so amazing changing plans left and right and keeping me in the loop about it all. I can not imagine planning for “3” weddings and the stress that you guys had during this time. You are rockstars! Thank you so much for choosing me to be your photographer. I loved getting to know you and Stonewall at your engagement session and I am so thankful for all the communication the last 6 months. Thank you for trusting me to capture your wedding day. Danielle and I had the best time and it was so nice to meet your friends and family! Wishing you HEALTH and Happiness always! Here are some of my favorites from your wedding day! Have fun reliving this day. It really was perfect. xoxo.

I may be biased, but I think Labor Day weekend is THE BEST weekend to have a wedding…. The reason why I think this….?? PJ and I were married on Labor Day Weekend in 2010! While our wedding day was 9/4/10, Elias and Jackie exchanged their vows 9/5/20. (Ethan’s Birthday!) Gah, Labor Day Weekend is one of my favorite weekends ever!
Elias and Jackie celebrated the most beautiful intimate wedding in Plymouth MA on September 5, 2020. Joined with Jackie’s immediate family, a total of 6 people (9 including myself and the bride and groom) They were married by Jackie’s brother who officiated their ceremony and had their first kiss as husband and wife on the deck of the family’s home.
When I arrived to the house in Plymouth on this absolute beautiful summer day, I could not help but love every little thing in their home. Jackie’s mom did a beautiful job decorating their entire home to have similar colors in each room. (My fav. TEAL!) I must have taken so many photos of details from inside this adorable home, if they were ever planning to sell, they could 100% use the images I took for real estate photos. I need her mom to come over and decorate my house! She has such a welcoming way of decorating every room!
After their ceremony, Elias and Jackie chose to go off site for their portraits. We went to Ellisville State Park in Plymouth which was the perfect location for them! They were hoping to have photos taken in a natural setting- not one where things were purposely landscaped, man made and busy. This location is a short hiking trail to the beach but we just stayed on the path as the lighting was amazing and no one wants to hike 10mins to a beach in Badgley Mischka heels! I am so happy with these portraits of them. We did these in the afternoon where it is not quite sunset, but I was able to defuse the light through the trees to give them that sunset glow. Getting to meet the family and then stealing them away for portraits are two of my favorite parts from this day.
Elias and Jackie, Thank you! Thank you for keeping in touch throughout your planning as this year was not what we all expected! Thank you for trusting me to capture your special day! You have planned the most beautiful intimate ceremony and it is so special that you captured it on video to share with your friends and family who were not able to attend. I hope that you are able to continue your plans of having a ceremony in TX and Canada as you were originally planning before Covid started but know that if that is not something that will happen any time soon, you can share these photos with your friends and family and share your story so that they can all feel like they were with you. I hope you enjoy looking back at these photos and love them as much as I do. Here are just a few favorites of mine from your wedding day. xoxo
I just love when I get to explore different places with my wonderful couples! Callie and John chose 2 destinations for their engagement session and I am so excited to share with you the magic that happened! Callie and John were going to have their engagement session a few weeks ago but the weather was not looking good. Even if it cleared up for their session, she was really hoping to have a beautiful sun set and not the over cast clouds. So, we decided to move their session and boy oh boy, I know I am excited, and they are excited that we did!
The weather for their engagement session could not have been any more perfect! It felt like a fall day here in New England and the sun did exactly what I was hoping it would! We started our session at World’s End in Hingham, MA. We found the most perfect tree that had the sun directly behind it which is where we started the session! The magic in these photos with the way the sun is glowing through the trees makes me so happy!
Callie and John were so amazing and up for anything I suggested! They were naturals in front of the camera and I just loved the way they look at each other! I am so excited to photograph their wedding day next year! Callie and John, Thank you so much for a fun night! You guys were such troopers climbing the rocks at the beach (in heels Callie!) Thank you thank you thank you!! I have so many favorites from our session together, grab a coffee and check them out!! xoxo
The day was finally here! Carrie and Kelsey were ready to celebrate their marriage together (again) with a much larger crowd than the first time, and I couldn’t have been any more excited to see them! On May 23, 2020 Carrie and Kelsey tied the knot on the front porch of Kelsey’s family home with an intimate elopement of some wedding party and immediate family. I had the honor of photographing their original wedding date day that was absolutely perfect! You can read PART 1 of their wedding celebrations HERE. Just like May 23, 2020…. July 25, 2020 was also perfect! The sun was shining, there was a slight breeze which was nice and their venue was absolutely beautiful!
I am a lover of all details! Gimme lots and lots of things to look at and I am happy! It was so nice to see many of the details they had in May were brought to the venue for the July celebrations. They even had NEW details which I had a blast photographing. One of the details I loved were their mini pineapple boutonnières. They were the cutest things! I also loved a painting they were gifted by their grandmother of a photo that was taken on the beach the night Carrie proposed. The painting even had sand from the exact beach that they were engaged! How cool is that?!
It was so nice to see Carrie and Kelsey again. They were beaming with excitement and were so thankful that they were able to still have the wedding they had hoped for in the middle of a pandemic that was never in their wildest dreams something they thought they would need to think about.
Carrie and Kelsey, Thank you again for being so amazing through this unforeseen time! You ladies have been such troopers and deserve every bit of happiness! Thank you for trusting me to capture TWO of the most important days of your lives! I am so excited to share these photos with you and I hope that I get to see the Hubbard Family again soon! I love you guys ( Brayden too! Happy Birthday, BTW dude!) have fun snuggled up, reliving this amazing day. xoxoxo.

Marybeth and Tyler are MARRIED!! Yup! MARRIED!! There two had such a beautiful and intimate wedding this past Saturday at Tylers childhood home! It may not have been the wedding they were originally planning for, but it was still so perfect and so beautiful! Marybeth and Tyler made the difficult decision of only having their immediate families, Wedding Party and Vendors at their celebration. Their friends and extended families watched their wedding ceremony via live stream. Even though they could not be there in person, they were celebrating with them in spirit online! Thank goodness for all of these social outlets!
Due to Covid-19, Marybeth and Tyler changed their plans of having their wedding take place in Princeton, MA. The morning started with the girls getting ready in their adorable condo in Portsmouth, NH and the guys getting ready at the AC Hotel by Marriott, Portsmouth. Their first look was at Prescott Park and it was absolutely gorgeous! The weather leading up to their day was hit or miss with the rain, and humid! They had an amazing sunny day, it was hot, but there was sun and when the breeze came through, it was nice! Their photos have a romantic glow about them which makes me so happy!
A crazy thing to think about is, they will look back on their wedding day 50 years from now and remember that even in the midst of a pandemic, their love was stronger. When they go to visit their parents back at the home where they said their I do’s, they will think about this day. The joy, the stress, the sweat and tears. What an amazing memory they will add to the many memories they’ve shared at this home. All they wanted was to get married, and they made it happen, even in the face of many obstacles. I don’t know about you, but I find all of that incredibly romantic! And speaking of romantic, Tyler planned the sweetest surprise for Marybeth! While they agreed not to get gifts for each other, Tyler surprised Marybeth with a beautiful bracelet for her to wear on their wedding day! It was the perfect way to start their wedding day when she opened this gift just before getting ready. I loved when they saw each other for the first time and he took her hand to see the bracelet on her! It was a special moment.
Marybeth and Tyler, Wow, what a year you guys had! I am so happy that in the end, everything worked out and you guys are now Mr. and Mrs. Joosten! I am so thankful for you both and so honored that you chose me to be your photographer. I loved you guys when I met you for the first time during your engagement session, and I still love you both now! Speaking of love… Here are just some of the photos I LOVED from this day, and I hope you will love them too! Enjoy getting to relive your wedding day through this blog and soon, I hope that you will get to see all of your virtual guests and give them big hugs!
