Aiden 6 Month Milestone Session | Quincy, MA

Aiden 6 Month Milestone Session | Quincy, MA

I can not believe it has been 6 months since I last saw this family for Aiden’s newborn session!  It is 100% true what they say, the days are long but the years are short. Before I knew it, February was approaching and I knew we needed to get this 6 month photo session in before their little features were not so little anymore! A few weeks ago I went back to their house and we had our session together capturing those candid lifestyle moments and I have to say, I just love sessions like this! This was so laid back, mom Breann was amazing handling her big kid, little kid and fur baby. She’s a natural! I loved catching up with her about life and hearing all of the little milestones Aiden has been achieving!

He was such a good baby during our session, fully idolizing his brother and not minding at all when his dog would walk on him. He is just starting to sit up but mom said he still needs assistance. We attempted to see if he could sit up on his own toward the end of our session and sure enough, HE DID IT! He mastered sitting up and I was there to see it! I was so proud and so excited I got to be there to capture those moments for mom and dad!

I am so excited to see them again for Aiden’s 1st Birthday session! Breann, TJ, Owen and Aiden, thank you so much, again for opening up your home to me to capture this first year of Aiden with you! He is going to have so many new milestones happening within the next few months and when I see you all again, I am so excited to see the difference just 6 more months make! Owen, thanks for keeping me on my toes and always laughing! You are such a great big brother! It is so clear that Aiden looks up to you so much already! Here are just a few of my favorites from out session together! xo.

February Vacation 2020 | Personal Post

February Vacation 2020 | Personal Post

Well,  February vacation has come to an end and it’s back to school on Monday for Ethan. We did not have any trips planned but we made the most of it traveling around close to home on our “Staycation” and I have to say we had so much fun!!

With no real plans until the night before each day of the week, we came up with some good stuff!

Monday- Boston Childrens Museum. We went to the Childrens Museum with our friends Danielle, Porter and Sawyer! It was so much fun. They had never been there before so that was nice taking our time through each of the rooms so the kids could explore. It was 61 outside which was just so perfect so after we were there for about 2 hours, we went outside and grabbed some lunch ( at the Shake Shack… SO GOOD….. Didn’t eat dinner..) then went back to the museum area and played outside at the playground that is there. Martin’s Playground is so nice! We can not wait to go back there when the weather gets warmer to spend time on the playground, walk around and just enjoy being outside! The kids all fell asleep on the way back home and I got to listen to a podcast! 🙂

Tuesday- Walked around the Mall, got hair cuts in the AM then we went to Altitude Trampoline Park with our friends and The Thirsty Moose for dinner.

Wednesday- We had no plans other than I knew the kids needed a NAP so BAD! So we got in the car around 11:00am with napping in my mind. (sometimes car naps is all I can do) so I get down the street and Ethan is already asleep. Henry fell asleep about 10 mins later. I KNEW IT!! I know when my kids are exhausted and need naps! Well, since they were sleeping and they usually wake up when the car stops, I kept driving. The next thing I knew I was driving to Hampton Beach! We LOVE the beach! I don’t care if everything is closed down and its cold. Just that salty air and sound of the ocean was worth the drive. We needed it. When the kids woke up, they were so excited to be there! We went on the play ground, we walked the beach a little bit- found some shells and rocks. Ethan could have done that for hours! He loved it!! Henry… well…he was cold….

Thursday-  We had our friends over for a little bit in the morning! The kids had a great time playing and I had a great time catching up with their mom! We chatted all about the Bachelor and yestday we had our own WTA viewing party! Julie came over with her baby girl, Katherine and we chatted the whole time and had to rewind the show during some moments but for the most part, I am going to watch the Lauren Zima Roses’ and Rose recap on Youtube TODAY! It’s so funny and I love Tuesdays because of it!

Friday- We spend several hours at the Library! We got there and we knew some of the moms and kids that were already there. Ethan got to make slime with their STEM learning staff which was great because I have tried to make slime with him and I will NEVER try that again, so if someone else is making it, and its not at my house…. I am all for it! That stuff IMO is a messsssss!!!!! 🙂

So here are some images from our week long staycation! Hope you can see the joy in the kids faces while we were out doing all the things! Next year during their school vacation in February I am really wanting to take them to DISNEY for the first time…..! How amazing would that be?! and We would most likely be there with the whole town of Bedford, NH since it seemed like everyone was there!

Newborn Lifestyle Session | The Miner Family | Bedford, NH

Newborn Lifestyle Session | The Miner Family | Bedford, NH

It feels like the year of baby girls! I have had several newborn sessions this year and all of them were little ladies who just stole my heart! This beautiful family invited me to their home for a lifestyle newborn session and I am so thankful! Big Brother Ben was so cute snuggling on his new sister Emily for some parts of our session. He even busted out some adorable dance moves! Emily is absolutely the sweetest and at 7 days new, she was awake for most of our time together. These photos are timeless. It’s just so crazy to see how much babies and kids grow each day. Everyday is new and having these moments captured in your home is a wonderful way to keep these precious memories forever.

Kristy, Jeff, Benjamin and Emily, Thanks so much for spending the day with me! I had so much fun getting to know you guys and meeting baby Emily. She is absolutely precious! She and Ben are so lucky to have parents like you! I hope you love your photos as much as I do! It’s always so hard for me to choose my favorites so here is a sneak peek of a bunch of the photos I love! Can’t wait to see you guys again soon! xo.

The true beauty of lifestyle newborn photography is that there are really no boundaries of what the sessions should be like. There are no rules, set poses or perfect timing. Each family is different and so the end result is different as well. It’s unique as it should be because it portrays each family’s story in a real and honest way. Don’t ever feel like you are too late to capture your baby’s photos. There are no set rules. Babies are beautiful in every phase and the moments are too precious and fleeting to be missed.

Where is summer? Seriously… where did it go?!? How are we a few days away from September? I know I am not the only one that thinks the summer flew by! I am working on lots and lots of family sessions currently ( shooting and editing) and I am trying catching up on my blogging! I have a ton of blogs lined up in drafts to be published asap and I am so excited to share my newest work with you all.

The last few weeks were so busy over here, and the last few months my bed time has not been earlier than 1am!! I am forever grateful for my families, couples and fans for believing in me and my business and I am thrilled that many families have been coming back to me for years to capture their stories. It makes me so happy and I love that I get to see everyone  again and again, as well as I get to watch their babies grow! How awesome is that?!

This wonderful family contacted me 2 years ago when they were visiting Cape Cod for their summer family vacation. At that time, they had 2 little ones- (Indy and Lulu) and this year, I got to meet their littlest one, Posey! All of the kids were just so cute and so much fun to play around with on the beach! I just loved how they warmed up to me right away and I was able to capture so many silly moments of them, letting their personalities shine! Their session was held on the same beach as it was the first time I met them, right outside of their rental home. How amazing to have this view for a full week while on vacation! I know I could get used to that!!

Brandon, Audrey, Indy, Lulu and Posey, I LOVED getting to see you again and meeting Posey! They are all so adorable and it is no doubt how loved they all are! It was really cool to look back at our session from 2017, you can check that session out here, and see the differences from then to now! Thank you for inviting me back to Cape Cod for your family vacation and for trusting me to capture these memories for you. Can not wait to watch them grow!

10 Childhood Photos that will Inspire you to pick up your Camera | Motherhood

10 Childhood Photos that will Inspire you to pick up your Camera | Motherhood

I realize that I have been focusing a lot on weddings. Posting mostly photos from my Ali B Couples special day, sharing lots of wedding wisdom this winter. I am extremely excited I am able to to do that and I hope brides and grooms find it inspirational when planning their wedding.

Today I wanted to do something a little different and start a Motherhood category on the blog. I know you all know my kiddos. They are the joy in my life and I just love sharing their cuteness… See.. I mean.. Look at them!

But in all seriousness, I am going to share posts in this section not just of my kiddos, but kiddos I get to meet throughout the years as well! To start, I am sharing my 10 favorite photos that I have taken of kiddos to inspire you to pick up your camera and shoot away! You do not need a professional camera to get amazing photos of your children!

  1. Let them make a mess. I love it when my kids are laughing so hard and making a mess…Deep down..I really do not love the mess, but I love their laughter and pure joy when they throw all their blankets on the floor and their stuffed “friends” When they do this, they almost always pretend to sleep. So grab the camera and get the shot! It’s not all the time they place nice together.

2. Reading– Henry has a love for books! He will stop what he is doing at any time during the day to sit down and read. I caught him sitting on Ethan’s bed reading a book from our little library. I saw him and loved how the light was on him I had to grab a photo. If he saw me taking this picture he would have probably moved and told me “No Picture”. So, try to sneak it for the best candid!

3. Sleeping– When I get both of my kids to sleep at the same time I feel like supermom! I work during that time but I do spend some time just watching them. Ethan is 4 1/2 and he is just the sweetest. I mean look at him sleeping. Sneak in a photo of a nap so you can cherish it forever! Especially when they no longer nap as they get older.

4. Adventure– Everyday is an adventure with kiddos! You can use your phone and capture awesome photos. ( There are some cell phone shots in this post- can you tell what ones??)

5. At the hospital- After having a baby I know you want to savor each moment! Bring your camera and have visitors snap a few for you if you can’t do it. The hospital (Fresh 48) photos are always my favorites.

6. Being Playful– Dress them up and take them out! Here was a fun sister moment that I just so happened to catch….!

7. Jumping Puddles– Get the rain boots on and get outside! Let them go to town in the puddles! They will love you for it!

8. Focus on the details– Look at their hands. Are they chunky? Do you just love their little hand dimples? I am sure you do! So capture them! When they can have a prop- like a toy or leaves as this photos has, its lets them play and they will “show” you what they got giving you time to grab that photo and not have it be blurry.

9. Silhouette by the window– Here we had a sleep over with a friend and it was snowing outside. The boys were playing at the window and watching the snow fall. They looked so cute standing there and it came out to be a dark photo I turned black and white.

10. Love– Capturing the love they have for other kids/siblings is just the cutest! When they show their love to someone try to capture those moments. They happen way too quickly! You will love that you have those images.
