Webb Memorial Park Engagement Session | North Weymouth, MA

I can not tell you how many times I have passed this area in North Weymouth and never knew it was there! Webb Memorial Park is where Theresa and Brian decided to have their engagement session and man, I just loved it! There were so many areas to bring them to have a beautiful backdrop, my favorite was definitely the spot that you could see Boston in the distance! They were so much fun to hang out with and I loved their choice in outfits!

Theresa and Brian are getting married at one of my favorite venues – The Pinehills Pavillion in June! I love working with couples like Theresa and Brian. They’re so down-to-earth, fun, and the epitome of go-with-the-flow. They listened to my silly jokes, followed my direction and trusted me when I said “let’s go over here” “okay one more….” (although one more is never really one more)….  As soon as we got out of the car to start their session, it started lightly raining, but it didn’t bother these two at all. We shot right through the rain, which only lasted a few minutes, and then it was clear skies for the rest of the session! Also, how cute is Theresa’s dress? I am slightly obsessed with it!

Theresa and Brian, I am so excited so see you both again for your wedding day! Thank you so much for choosing me to capture these special moments for you! Here are a “few” favorites from your engagement session. I hope you love these as much as I do! xoxo.

Andrea + Chris Engagement Session | Bird Park, Walpole

Andrea + Chris Engagement Session | Bird Park, Walpole

This was such a FUN shoot! This lovely couple contacted me a week after they got engaged to find out more info! We chatted for a while over Facetime and Andrea mentioned how she has been following me on Instagram for awhile now and she learned about me through following my friend, JorDecor! A few times a year I collaborate with Jordan over at JorDecor for session in her home, so I was so honored that Andrea found me and started following me this way! It’s fun to hear how big of a fan she is of the both of us, so getting to meet her in person was just the best!

Andrea and Chris chose Bird Park in Walpole for their engagement session! This park had so many amazing areas for photos, I was so excited and had them stopping every couple of steps because the light was perfect, the colors were perfect or the area was just too pretty to walk by! They were so great listening to my location suggestions in the Park and they were wonderful tour guides too since they know the area well! They pointed me in pretty locations and let me just tell you, each photo just makes my heart so happy!

After our session they emailed me the SWEETEST email that just made my entire week! They said –

Hi Alex,

Chris and I just wanted to thank you so much for such a wonderful and fun engagement session today. We both felt so comfortable with you and know how much more fun our wedding day photos will be. We liked working with you and it was just a great day. Thanks for including our family in the pictures today too!
It was really wonderful to see how relaxed and comfortable Chris was with you. At first, he wanted no part of taking engagement pictures. He said he would do it because I wanted to, but I had no idea how he was really going to be today.  After our session today, he realized how important it was to take engagement pictures, so the three of us can really get to know each other. He was totally himself and relaxed with you. He’s already brainstorming photo ideas for our wedding day. What’s also wonderful is that he wants to keep you around for my maternity photos and family photos! 🙂
We can’t thank you enough. The time flew by and we had so much fun working with you! We can’t wait to see the gorgeous photos you took today!
Andrea & Chris
Any that my friends, is an email that I will always remember. One that just makes me so happy hearing how much fun was had (by all) and how they are looking forward to the wedding day! I always get sad at the end of my sessions knowing I wont get to see my brides and grooms for just a bout a year, a little over… but I know that it flies by! I am so honored to be your wedding photographer, Andrea and Chris! I hope you love your photos just as much as I do! xoxo.

How amazing is this!!?!?! They live so close to family, that during our session, I got to meet some of the fam, walking their pups! It was too sweet not to take a photo of them all! What a great moment!

TD Garden + Sea Port Engagement Session | Boston, MA

The first time I met these two blushing brides we chatted for over 2 hours! I loved getting to know all about them and their wedding day planning during our first meeting I was so excited to see them again for their Boston engagement session!

They chose these locations for their session as they talked about Boston having a special meaning to them. They shared their first kiss at the TD Garden after a Justin Timberlake concert there. This was where they wanted to start the session. I loved it! It’s not every day I get to walk around the Garden area so when I got there I was able to scope out a few nice areas just outside so that they can have the natural sun light, pretty greens, a city feel as well as the Garden in the background! To say I was freaking out is an understatement. Each time I got a shot with that glowy sun light creeping through the tree I was squealing like a toddler at Christmas! The light, these ladies and the background was just making me all so happy!

We took an Uber to the next location over to Fan Pier Park for that unbelievable sun set that NEVER gets old with the view of the city. The light was dreamy and the city sky line was just a great backdrop to have us end the night there. I am not kidding when I say I can take photos all night. I mean seriously… it was well past sun set but I had my flashes set up as I worked hard to get that crazy color sky.

Kelsey and Carrie, Thanks so much for braving that high heat with me to get these shots! I had a blast and I can not wait to see you both again, as well as your families when you say “I Do”  in May! Here are just a few of my favorite photos from our session! xo.

Boston Seaport Engagement Session | Brittney & Sean

Boston Seaport Engagement Session | Brittney & Sean

Friends! I have to tell you, I just love the Boston seaport! It’s always a treat for me to be in the city and these engagement photos just make my heart happy! The backdrop of Boston was just the perfect view for these two before heading home to DC. We had so much fun and I can’t stop smiling when going through their images!

Brittney and Sean are planning a winter wedding on Cape Cod at the Sea Crest Beach Hotel! I can not wait to get back there for the 2nd time this year!! Brittney and Sean grew up around Boston and are currently living in Washington DC. They flew to Boston to spend some time with family and then to meet me! They chose this perfect backdrop for their session because Boston is their “home”. They grew up in surrounding neighborhoods and met on a church mission trip to Vermont in 2012! Brittney was in her senior year of HS and Sean was in his junior year. They were best friends for a year before Sean made the first move and here they are!

We had so much fun walking all around the Boston Seaport! They had me laughing at just about every prompt I gave them and I have to say… Sean is such a pro at my nuzzle pose! It was such a great night to end the weekend and I am so excited to share this sneak peek with you of some of my favorites!! Brittney and Sean, I am so excited to meet your friends and family on your wedding day! Thank you for such a fun session! I can not wait to see you guys again! xoxo
