Rexhame Beach Extended Family Session | Marshfield, MA

Rexhame Beach Extended Family Session | Marshfield, MA

Another family session post for you all to see! This session took place during sun set at Rexame Beach. It was such a gorgeous night and the sun gave off a beautiful glow! I just love extended family sessions! It’s so nice when a big family can get together for photos and I know it doesn’t happen very often for many! I was so impressed that these guys were able to work out a date for everyone to be there, and I was able to be there as well!

For these images, I edited in 2 different styles. My light and airy approach will at times “blow out” the sky. This night was so pretty and they sky gave off beautiful colors but I am sharing with you the original edits I completed as I just love the glow tones on the family.

Being at the beach is my happy place! I love it when I get to chase kids around and get those authentic smiles! This session as a lot of fun and the kiddos were wonderful!

To the Mullin Family, Thank you so much for trusting me to capture your family photos! It was wonderful meeting you all and I just love the coordinated outfits! Here are just a few of my favorites from our session together!

Plymouth Country Club Wedding Venue | Brianna and Rick

Plymouth Country Club Wedding Venue | Brianna and Rick

I am so excited to share with you Brianna and Rick’s wedding day! Our associate photographer Kayla and second photographer Kelsey captured their wedding day perfectly! The over cast day made a perfect lighting situation for their bridal portraits at Duxbury Beach!

Brianna and Rick are truly the kind of people you’d want to be friends with. They are easy-going, kind, and fun to be around. We are so glad to have photographed such an amazing celebration of their love and to have to meet these two people who are so obviously in love! I will always remember their epic engagement session we had at Fenway and then chasing the light over to the Sea Port for City Skyline photos as the sun was setting!

I have so many favorites from their wedding day it was so hard to choose what to include on their blog! I just love their portraits on the bridge in Duxbury and I have to say the way their reception room at The Plymouth Country Club was decorated was just beautiful! The added on touches of the fabric on the ceiling with the chandelier along with the quote banner behind their sweetheart table was truly stunning!

Brianna and Rick, Thank you so much for your trust! Everyone here at Ali B Photography just adore you both and we couldn’t be happier for you! Congratulations! Have fun looking back on this day through your amazing photos! xoxo

Mass Audobon Engagement | Jill & Jason | Marshfield, MA

Mass Audobon Engagement | Jill & Jason | Marshfield, MA

Jill and Jason’s engagement session was one of the many sessions I had back in October and it was pure perfection! The weather was perfect, the setting was beautiful and the light was golden!  We walked all around the Mass Audobon State Park in Marshfield chasing the light and the perfect fall colors the trees provided.

Getting to know them was so much fun! We laughed nearly the whole entire session! Their love shows in each photo taken of them and it is so exciting for me that I was there to capture that love and laughter! They truly made my job so easy this night! Every time they said “I dont like being infront of the camera, or I don’t know what I am doing..” I proved them wrong {and I may have screamed a few times behind the camera from the awesomeness they were giving me!}.

These two are getting married at The Bournedale Function Facility in Plymouth, MA next fall and I am already so excited to see them again!! { You can see a Bournedale Wedding I recently captured, here– I can’t wait to go back there again}  I love their engagement story too, so I had to share what Jill said below! It is pure perfection and if you love the theater, this one is for you!!

The Proposal Story: “We go to a lot of shows in Boston. Before a show in June, I went to the bathroom and when I came back, he told me that someone was selling raffle tickets for a private tour of the Wang Theatre and he got one. I didn’t think much of it and then a few weeks later, he sent me a screenshot of an email from the Wang saying that he’d won a tour on July 8th at 12:00. That day, we went to the theatre and met Ashley who was giving us the tour. While we were on the stage, Ashley pointed out the photographer in the mezzanine taking pictures of the new seats that were
being installed. She took us up to that area and explained that people could buy plaques for these seats. She also suggested that we look at the view from this section, particularly from seat 105. We walked down the aisle and when we got to 105, I read a plaque that said, “Jill will you marry me? Love Jay.” The “tour” had been a set up, and Jay and Ashley had been emailing for weeks arranging this day. If that all weren’t enough, Jay explained the ring: three stones- one from his grandmother’s ring, one from my grandmother’s ring, and a new stone. After the Wang, he had another surprise- a party at his aunt’s house with our friends and family.” – Jill

Behind the Scenes 2017 | Ali B Families

Behind the Scenes 2017 | Ali B Families

All year long it’s so much fun getting to meet so many new people and photograph them and their loved ones! If you’ve been following me, I try to post sneak peeks and blog as much as I can in a timely manner… This year has been amazing and so busy for me (THANK YOU) so I am JUST catching up on lots and lots of blogging. I have a few fun blogs I am going to be sharing for you and here I am, starting off the fun blogs with these behind the scenes- Family edition! Have you ever seen posts like – Instagram vs. Reality?! Well, every time i have a session I always wish I had someone with a camera following me around too, capturing those full behind the scenes shots of how I have mom and dad behind me making noise to get a baby to look, or the mess of toys and clothes behind me or edited out of the photo, the real lighting situation we are in, my arms holding a baby, a toddler or sometimes 2 kids plus my camera while still taking photos- all of the real life ways!

I do manage to get some of these real photos- either I take them or I have clients that sneak a few and are so awesome to text or email them to me! I have included those in this blog post today just so you can see. Many times, especially while shooting kids, it’s so helpful to have the parents there if there are multiple because I can’t do it all, like sometimes I’d like to think I can. Its hard for me to watch kids and photograph one at the same time. Those extra eyes are needed in situations like that. So, THANK YOU to the moms, dads, siblings, granparents, aunts and uncles who were those watchful eyes while I worked my magic to capture your family memories of 2017 for you!! I hope to see you again soon!

Now, without further ado, I present to you the Behind the Scenes- Family Edition of Ali B Photography!

With those watchful eyes and arms to help hold up kiddos who can’t quite sit up on their own. Moms worked as my assistants this session day as we captured our kids on the beach.

Henry just hanging out while I run around chasing toddlers!

When one kiddo doesnt want to participate in a group photo… you have to try to get them to play… Ahem…. Ethan, my son wasnt having it this day….. We were trying to get him to sit down on the blanket by talking about the really cool tattoo his friend Natalie had on her arm!

because what kid doesn’t love dogs?

This is the same day as the beach photos for Ethan… He wasnt having it and I was in crunch time to get some fathers day photos done…. Thank you Fruit Snacks for being the bribe of the day! I managed to get some nice photos for dad!

When I bring my assistant Ethan with me, he has his camera to help with. He will also try to get you to smile… and he will also walk away…. thanks to the moms who have had their eyes on him this year when he had to come with me!

This mom! I cant even. She is absolutely AMAZING! I have been taking photos of her and her kids for 2 years now and I just love them all so much! She is always so calm when I see them- a mom of 4 and her last 2 are twins. I am sure you have seen their photos all over. Well, Here is behind the scenes from a halloween shoot we did. Getting her kiddos ready, while they play.

Everyone is dressed and ready to go

That helping hand when one can’t walk on her own just yet.

Still helping and trying to get all 4 kids to look at me, nicely!

Nailed it.

Ethan again at a family session. Sometimes he just has to get in on the fun!

I loved this family! This was a last minute fall session I was so happy to have been able to squeeze in! These little ones are twins and when one doesn’t want to be in a photo, I play. Here I am holding Kennedy while I let her think she is helping me…. She really is helping me- She ‘pushed the button’ a few times! After this happened, her brother helped me and then i was able to get some amazing photos of this family of 4! This was an extended family session so their Aunt snapped this photo when I didn’t know and emailed it to me later that day! I just love it!

sometimes…nature calls…. and I am baby wearing and holding a camera that is really heavy….

back at it…

When I want one kiddo to look out at the waterfall…. but he didn’t want to do it… Ethan comes to the rescue!

Playing so we can get some great shots! knock knock!

Ohhhhh all the helpers!

Mom making sure he doesn’t fall in… .I thought this was a good idea until i quickly realized….it wasn’t! but then it was because their final photos were AMAZING!

snuggle break….

Behind the scenes at Pinewood Lodge

This isn’t really behind the scenes… but its the first photo that Ethan took, on my phone…that isn’t too bad! Photographer in the making???

This behind the scenes photo was taken by Sammy. Sammy is 5 years old and we had just ended their family session in New Jersey! Mom, Ang has been my best friend since we were babies and we are still best friends today! I loved photographing them during our NJ visit and I just love this photo that Sammy took! You can see my makeup running! It was a chilly day and yes… I love my vest… I think I am wearing it in almost every photo of me in this post haha.

Trying to get some monthly photos of Henry….. Thanks Ethan!

Making sure Henry doesn’t fall over because he is JUST starting to sit up on his own…. Ethan might be holding him a little too rough so that didn’t last long…

I hope you enjoyed these fun behind the scenes photos! I am working on another Behind the Scenes- Wedding Edition! So stay tuned!!

Rexhame Beach Milestone Session | Marshfield, MA

Rexhame Beach Milestone Session | Marshfield, MA

I have another Milestone Session to share with you! I love that I get to celebrate this amazing time with families and their little ones! A one year birthday is a BIG deal! I got to celebrate Jameson’s birthday with him, on his actual birthday! I met this little guy when he was just a few weeks old. I photographed him and his mom and dad last fall when he was 3 months old, and here he is, celebrating being the big O.N.E!

Jameson had tons of fun on the beach feeling the sand between his toes and playing with some toys we brought! It took a lot to make him laugh, but he did and I was able to capture that adorable little smile and all those teeth! His blue eyes melt my heart and he is just a little sweet heart!

Thank you for letting me spend your birthday morning with you Jameson! I had so much fun and I can not wait to just keep watching you grow! Happy Birthday!
