At the end of each year, I love looking back through all of my images and picking out some photos of what I consider to be the best of the best in Weddings and Engagement sessions. I am sure you can imagine that this is NOT easy. It takes a looooooong time to go through all the images that I have taken over the past year, but its always so fun to see it all come together for this blog post. When I am finished and I hit the publish button on this post, it makes me so happy that I completed this one for you all too see. Plus, whats better than seeing images throughout the year and all these amazing memories come right back into your mind from some of the most fun you have ever had!
Looking back at all of these images really makes me feel so grateful. As a wedding photographer, there is really nothing better than being trusted by so many incredible couples to capture one of the biggest days of their lives, an every year that goes by my grate-fullness goes higher and higher! This truly is one of the best jobs in the world. I hope you enjoy this recap of an amazing 2018!
I am so excited to share this Pavillion at Pinehills wedding with you today! It’s so hard for me to believe that this was my last wedding of 2018, I am truly missing every one of my Ali B Couples already! Friends, you see, it’s really not just about the wedding day. It’s all about my couples and I love that I am able to build relationships with them all throughout the year. Come the wedding day, we are already friends and being comfortable with each other is an amazing feeling on the wedding day!
I met Allison and Dan through their best friend, Jillian. The best compliment I could every receive is a referral from my brides and families. Jillian sent Allison and Dan my way and I am forever grateful! They were so much fun getting to know during their engagement session and come their wedding day, everything went so smoothly and we all shared LOTS of laughs! I was so excited for this wedding most of all because it was going to be a big reunion with friends and family from Jillian and Joe’s wedding from this past August! It was so special I got to see them again and end the wedding season with these wonderful people!
I have to say, the way Dan looked at Allison on their wedding day was just the sweetest! I really don’t think he took his eyes off of her throughout their portraits and especially their ceremony! You can just see the love in his eyes for her and it really just makes my heart so happy. What stuck out to me the most was the incredible love, warmth and sincerity of Allison, Dan, and everyone around them. During the reception, you could FEEL the love and closeness shared not just by the couple, but by every single person in the room.
Lisa and I had the best time getting to see everyone from Jillian and Joe’s wedding here celebrating Allison and Daniel! I even got to get in a photo with my Ali B Brides! Allison and Dan, thank you for allowing us to be part of your family for the day. It was truly an honor, and we’re so excited for you to see a few of our many favorites! There were so many favorites that I really had a hard time just choosing a few…so grab a drink…( Dan… get some Corona, add the lime) and enjoy relieving your wedding day! 🙂 xoxo.
Since moving to NH, I have to constantly remind myself to change my weather app location so I know whats happening on Cape Cod. It’s so crazy how just a few hours North of the cape, the weather is totally different. I woke up to pouring rain on Corey and Jessie’s wedding day. It was raining buckets all the way until I got to Plymouth, MA. While still overcast, the rain was coming to an end! By the time I arrived to capture the first parts of the day, the rain had completely stopped! Can we talk about perfect timing?! have no doubt that even if the weather had been different and we had been celebrating their day in the pouring rain, these two would have been joyful.
Corey and Jessie are such a fun couple! I have been looking forward to their wedding day since their engagement session last fall when I realized they were up for anything I asked them to do! There was so much laughter then, I knew their day was going to be filled with so much joy, I couldn’t wait!
They shared a first look together which was just the sweetest thing! I just loved capturing that moment when Jess tapped Corey on his shoulder, and his reaction when he turned around was just priceless. A few tears were shed and it was so sweet to witness them each wiping them away one another. Since it was raining all morning, it cooled the air and it was a bit chilly and very windy where we were for their first look and bridal party portraits. Everyone was so great braving the cold air and wind we were able to get so many amazing portraits for them to cherish forever of their closest friends, family and the two of them on their special day.
Lisa and I loved being surrounded by their family and friends. One of my favorite moments of the day was when Corey’s mom a hopped on the dance floor, got the party started and surprised everyone with her singing ” All Night Long” – Lionel Richie. Everyone was cheering her on and then the dance floor filled up and stayed full for hours and hours! It was a cheerful celebration of a wonderful couple!! Corey and Jessie, congratulations on this special new season of life! We were so honored to capture your wedding day! Enjoy looking back at the many many favorites I had from your day! xoxo.
For every wedding I am always checking the weather. It called for an 80% chance of rain for Jillian and Jason’s wedding day up until the night before. It turned out, that it changed to clouds with no rain, and for that we are grateful! The ceremony was held outside on the lawn over looking a lake officiated by a close friend of theirs. It was beautiful and I just loved hearing their vows that they wrote to one another. It was just so sweet looking over and seeing both the mother of the bride and the mother of the groom in tears of happy tears as Jill and Jason read their vows and said their I do’s.
We had their bridal party portraits on the beach and I have to say, I just had the best time! I tried a little something new and went into the water to get a group shot from a different perspective! The water was cold, but it felt pretty good to me! Their bridal party was full of laughs and I just loved getting to know everyone. As we started our bride and groom portraits, dark clouds came through and it started to rain. That didn’t stop us from getting our portrait time outside and oh man, I am in love with their portraits!
It’s hard to put into words how much I love my job. It’s couples like Jill and Jason that remind me how lucky I am!! I’m thankful for them and for their families and I can’t WAIT for you to see their beautiful wedding day at the wonderful Bournedale Function Facility!
Sometimes, its really hard to describe how much we love love wedding days, and friends, we loved this wedding day! It was authentic, and genuine and filled with the best kinds of emotion! Jordan’s sweet reaction during their first look and then again as his bride walked down the isle toward him were both just the sweetest reactions that I am sure Jaclyn will never forget! Not only did Jordan share tears, Jaclyn did too, and her groom was there to help clear them away. They melted everyone’s hearts with their loving gestures and gorgeous smiles. Their ceremony was beautiful as they stood together surrounded by their closest friends and family. Jordan’s sister officiated their service under a beautiful awning that they made together. She performed their ceremony with grace and love, its was absolutely beautiful.
As Lisa and I were capturing the perfectly thought out details of this day, a ray of sun came shining through the trees. It was amazing to see this big beam of light come through for them onto the piece of decor that they created themselves. When Lisa showed me the image out of camera, it gave me chills as I said that it looks like Jordan’s dad is there, shining down on them, celebrating this perfect day with them in heaven. Just a few weeks leading up to their wedding day, Jordan’s dad passed away. He was honored in so many ways throughout their wedding day, this ray of light was comforting to know that he was not only remembered, he was there.
We ended their night with an epic sparkler exit! When they came to me and said they wanted to have a sparkler exit, I was so excited! It’s very rare that these exits get to happen but now that this one happened, I am going to be talking about it a lot with my brides and grooms! They invited their bridal party only to come outside with them. The sparklers were lit, the lighting set up was ready, Lisa was there by my side and Jordan and Jaclyn ran through the sparklers, smiling so big! Everyone was laughing and screaming and since they had the long size sparklers, they kept running back and fourth! It was so fun and I am so happy with all of their photos!! So, who is next for the sparkler exit, friends?!
Jordan and Jaclyn, Thank you so much from the bottom of my heart for having Lisa and I at your wedding day. We had the best time capturing every little detail and it was so great getting to know you both. The love you share for one another is evident from the smiles on your faces, the tears you shared, the vows you wrote for one another and it came through from everyone there celebrating with you. We love you guys and hope you have the best time in Portugal!
I can’t wait to share this images to allow you to get to know this incredible Ali B Couple! I have dozens and dozens of favorites!!! Enjoy!
