AHHH This is the year my big goal of getting featured is here!! I can not even believe it! This is just so amazing to see my photos featured on a wedding blog! This feature is of my sister and her fiance’ Kevin who will be getting married this October in Philadelphia! I traveled to visit them in Washington,DC this past October and we spent the whole weekend taking their engagement photos! BIG Thank you to Kevin for being a trooper getting his photo taken about 16000 times! It was so nice to visit with them and I had so much fun taking their engagement photos!
I am telling you I had no idea that my work would be published this many times! I Feel like each week I have been sharing featured weddings with you and I am still just so thankful! I love that these REAL weddings are giving brides out there some inspiration for your big day! Thank you for following along and checking out these featured weddings! View their blog post here.
This downtown engagement session was nothing but PERFECTION! I loved getting to meet Gina and Kevin and I can not wait to see them again for their big day! This location in Boston is a perfect place for having that amazing view of the city and the sun setting was just perfect as we walked around this sea port area! They were featured on Wedding Boston and I couldn’t be more thrilled!
This beautiful Cape Cod Nautical wedding was featured on Wedding Boston and Tacari weddings! So much love for these two and their family along with these two publications! I am so honored to be apart of their featured weddings!
Friends! I am so so so thankful for all of these features from wedding blogs sharing all things wedding inspiration! As I mentioned in my first featured post, I submitted every wedding and engagement session I shot last year. I am still getting emails about different publications accepting my work and throughout this whole year, they will be up on different blogs! It is just so exciting for me and also for my couples who I gotta say are now totally famous!
This engagement session was so much fun! You can see their blog post from their session here. I can not wait for their wedding this August 2019!
For the last two years I have said to myself I want to be published! I felt like my images were good, but when comparing them to everyone else, I didn’t feel like they were “publish worthy”. You see, that was the problem! I compared myself to other photographers out there in the world. People I don’t even know and I got my hopes up and just never bit the bullet to send my work anywhere.
I blogged on here and that was it. I featured my weddings on my website and I still do but there is something exciting to get an email stating that I was published on THEIR blog…. someone else’s wedding inspiration blog! I knew that one day, yes one day…. it would happen…but when!?
In 2017 right after I had Henry, I went full time photography/stay(work) from home mom. I worked hard to get my style to where I felt like I wanted it to be and I kept getting more and more confident in myself, my worth and my work. I still was hesitant of rejection when thinking about submitting a wedding… I kept working hard to get the images I took exactly where I wanted them to be. In 2019 I looked back at all of my 2018 weddings and engagement sessions. I loved each and every photo taken…. So much, I just knew this was the time to start submitting. There was no way I would get rejection emails! So, I joined Two Bright Lights- a place where you can submit your photos to hundreds of publications and get your wedding and lifestyle photography published in print magazines, websites and blogs. I submitted EVERY wedding and engagement session I shot in 2018.
Not even 2 hours later after submitting Jillian and Joe’s wedding I had gotten an email saying it was accepted! Guys….I was dancing in my kitchen with excitement! I couldn’t believe it! MY FIRST PUBLISHED WEDDING!!!
Special thank you to all these amazing vendors who made Jillian and Joe’s wedding oh so beautiful! Thank you to WEDDING BOSTON for accepting this publication! I am so honored and so thankful!!
