I feel like I am destined to shoot photos sessions on over cast days! I mean, I set up sessions with my couples and families MONTHS in advance. I always set them up for really, whatever time works best for you, but I always suggest 2 hours before sun set. I feel like more often than not, we have clouds during out sessions more so than sun. Guess what…I am 100% fine with that!
I am able to shoot my sessions in the sun, at sun set, sun rise and even those over cast days. I know everyone usually wants that high sun peek glow but you do not need to stress if it happens to be the day of your session and the sun is not out for most of it. I got you.
Stephanie and Daniel’s engagement session started out overcast. At times we had some cloud movement and we did get some of the sunny sun set glow, but for the most part, its was a cloudy overcast perfect session and I loved every minute with them!
Stephanie and Daniel are High School Sweethearts! I have had a few couples who have been together since High School and it is just the sweetest thing! They brought their fur babies with them and I got to meet Stephanie’s MOH, her sister Emily! They were all so nice and I loved getting to know them! Their pups, Griffin and Sadie were so cute and loved getting their photos taken too! I can not wait to see them all again for their winter wedding next year at the Pavillion at Pinehills! xo.
I have officially entered the season of life where business is picking up fast! I kicked off the wedding season with this engagement session in Bedford, NH with Liz and Raffa! Guys! I am not kidding when I say that it down-poured all day leading up to this session! We were checking the weather hour by hour because they traveled from CT. to NH and this was the only day we were able to schedule their session!
Well, as you can see the rain stopped in time for their session and we were able to keep it on! I loved getting to know these two! I asked Liz how they met during out first initial inquiry email and she said ” Raffaele (Raffa) and I met at a craft beer lovers MeetUp event in Connecticut in August 2017. He is from Italy, which means he has an adorable accent, so right away I was weak in the knees. We bonded over the fact that we’re both nerds (my background is in astrophysics and I teach physics now, he’s an engineer, we both love video games, etc.). I taught him how to play (and win!) a game of bean bags. After a few hours of tasting craft beer and flirting, he asked me if I wanted to go get dinner. On our way out to our cars, he grabbed me and kissed me! It was so unexpected but magical! We went to dinner and then went for a walk on the waterfront. Right away I knew this man was special and I wasn’t going to let him go.” I just love this! It is amazing to me how everyone has their own amazing story of how they met and the rest is history!
Liz & Raffa have an amazing year from moving into their first home, traveling to Italy before the wedding and then getting married! I am so excited for their wedding this September in Maine and I can not wait to hear all about their new home and their trip! xo
Friends! I am so so so thankful for all of these features from wedding blogs sharing all things wedding inspiration! As I mentioned in my first featured post, I submitted every wedding and engagement session I shot last year. I am still getting emails about different publications accepting my work and throughout this whole year, they will be up on different blogs! It is just so exciting for me and also for my couples who I gotta say are now totally famous!
This engagement session was so much fun! You can see their blog post from their session here. I can not wait for their wedding this August 2019!
I met Gina and Kevin in the summer when Gina’s sister Jen got married at Mill Falls. I had so much fun at Jen and Jason’s wedding, when Gina contacted me I was so excited, I knew I was going to love them for their engagement session and I know their wedding is going to be a blast! Guess what….? I was right…I love them.
Gina and Kevin’s engagement session was around the Boston Sea Port. What a perfect location! We were able to have several different backgrounds since there are so many awesome places for photos in this area. I found out that this area has a special meaning to them as they met at a bar not too far from where we were!
Charley. their fur baby attended the shoot for the last half hour! She is such a beautiful pup and I was so happy they brought her with them! You can see the love that is shared between all 3 of them during this shoot and I am so thrilled I was able to capture it all.
Gina, Kevin and Charley, Thank you so much for choosing me to capture these moments. I had so much fun seeing to guys again and getting to meet Charley. I am sad I will not see you guys again until August! I hope you love your photos and I hope you enjoy looking at a few of my favorites from our session together. xoxo.
A huge shout out to Beabout Exposure as they were there during this session documenting behind the scenes video for us! I even did a little interview after their session and I can not wait to share the final product! If you are looking for a videographer, contact them!! Philip and Brittney are awesome!
You know how good it feels when you can be around someone who just makes you feel like 100% yourself?? It’s such a good feeling and that is exactly how I felt around Amylee and Greg! These two were so laid back and just so fun to be around! Our whole session was just filled with laughter and I loved every second of it! The best is that I got a text a few hours after our session from Amylee telling me her abs hurt from laughing so much!!
Amylee and Greg have been together for 10 years after meeting at work in Kingston, MA. Greg proposed to Amylee last December in Downtown Plymouth just after enjoying a nice dinner at Strega! When we were together I suggested they go back to Strega since they were all dressed up and looking amazing! 🙂 I just love it when my couples have their engagement session and make a date out of it.
They chose to have their session at Chiltonville and I have to say I just love this location for fall sessions! The light is just so nice in the open field that I love to use and the dirt road with wooden fence just adds something to the images. This was my second time shooting in this location just a few weeks apart. The colors on the tree’s have started to fall, but I still loved everything about this location!
Amylee and Greg, I had the best time with you guys! I can not wait until your wedding day next year! Enjoy my favorites from your session! xoxo.
Friends! I can’t decide if this is an easier post to write or if it’s harder!!! It’s easy because this is my sister’s engagement post!!! But it’s hard because I have a lifetime of things that I could say about her!! 🙂 Before I get into how much I love Kevin and Danielle, let me explain that this was session was planned when Danielle came to visit us in July and scheduled for the only weekend I had off in October. They met at the W hotel in Washington DC while Danielle and her friends were out to celebrate her birthday. Since they met in DC they decided to have their engagement session there too. I am so thankful for them. They flew me out there for a weekend to capture these amazing moments and I couldn’t have been happier to do this for them!
I arrived in DC on a Friday night. It was raining and called for rain most of the weekend. We came up with a plan to take photos indoors and/or under covered buildings if needed. We started our Saturday with walk to get coffee and a sister trip to the nail salon. We had so much fun since we really never get to do that together anymore! After that we walked back in the rain to start getting ready for their engagement session. As we were getting ready, the rain stopped and the sun came out!!! This was so exciting since Danielle really wanted photos outside at several locations throughout DC and since the rain stopped and the sun was in and out of clouds, we were able to go to several locations and stay outside!
Danielle and Kevin are planning a black tie wedding for October next year in Philadelphia. We talked a lot about clothing choices for their session and I told them that I really pictured a long black dress for her and a really nice suit for him with black tie. They both looked amazing! Danielle found the perfect dress, it was like that dress was made for her. We decided to stick with their formal wear the first day as we walked all around DC and captured their photos are each of the monuments. The next day they went with a more casual look and we stayed in one location.
Kevin is just wonderful and the more I’m around him, the more I love him. I have prayed for YEARS for him without knowing who he was and it’s so surreal to look at these pictures and know that God has been preparing him for Danielle for a long time. These two are going to make an incredible team as husband and wife!! I CAN’T WAIT!! What an exciting season of life!!!! Since our session was a full weekend, there are so many amazing photos I wanted to share with you! I can not wait to see them again for the holidays this year and I CAN NOT WAIT to celebrate on their wedding day!
