Two. More. Sleeps! Guys! Chris and Caitlyn are tying the not THIS WEEKEND and I couldn’t be any more excited to see them again! I photographed their gorgeous Boston Engagement Session for the wonderful Kellie Ryan Photography and I will be second shooting with her for their wedding day. I am so happy to have gotten this opportunity to meet such a lovely couple and to work with Kellie! One pretty awesome fact is that I started my 2017 weddings on Cape Cod at the Chatham Bars Inn….and…… I will be ending my 2017 weddings at the Chatham Bars Inn!
Their engagement shoot was held in the North End. We walked along the greenway, down Hanover Street and along the waterfront for some amazing sunset moments! All throughout our session together we talked a bunch and it was really nice getting to know them! Chris and Cait have been good friends since college but the timing never seemed to work in their favor. It wasn’t until 2015 when everything changed. Cait said ” being in sales, Chris likes to boost 2015 as his best sales year yet….he finally closed the biggest deal of his life and landed the girl!” They spent many hours talking over the phone and some long weekends in Boston before they started dating and spend the first year of their relationship long distance between Washington DC and Boston. Caitlyn moved to DC in 2016.
Upon proposing, Chris decided to pick the hottest day of the year in Washington DC to pop the question. According to Cait, ” he convinced me that going on a walk through embassy row in Dupont Circle would be a great way to spend our early afternoon. Eager to make it into an air conditioned building for some reprieve I briskly climbed the replica of the Spanish steps in DC only to realize Chris was not only lagging behind but was down on one knee. I couldn’t tell you exactly what he said but all I know is the answer was YES!”
Chris and Cait, I can not wait to see you guys this weekend! It’s going to be a perfect wedding day! Thank you to you both and Kellie for trusting me to capture your engagement photos!
